1-15-2012

We are sitting in NICU preparing ourselves for Bella's procedure scheduled for tomorrow. Bishop came by & we gave Bella a blessing. Today's sacrament meeting at church was amazing. It was almost as if they were speaking directly to us.

The consult with neurosurgeon went very well & she answered all our questions, so we feel confident in her abilities to place the reservoir/shunt.

Becky got to hold Bella again today & that means so much to both of them. See the pictures I've posted today.

Tomorrow around 1pm. Prayers & faith for Bella & Heavenly Father to guide the surgeon's hands.

    prayers for tomorrow are coming from germany!!!i have pictures of myself and my preemie landon where i wear the face mask and i have the same look in my eyes that becky has in the pictures above.i will be thinking of your family tomorrow! <3, diana

      make sure to tell bella what will be going on tomorrow.i was told by my midwife that i should tell him exactly what will be going on and why-to help the babies understand,even though they are so little.they will know that its for their best and that u are ALWAYS there for her.it helped me so much and it helped my little boy.

    Diana, thank you for the wonderful advice. Matt was able to talk to Bella nefore surgery. I cried too hard everytime I tried..
