Be strong & of a good courage

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Baby Bella had a close one a couple of hours ago. The NICU team had to code her including chest compressions for 11 mins. She also received a dose of epinephrine to help her decreased heart rate (less than 60). She was extubated, bagged, then reintubated yet remains on the same vent settings. The kind Dr called me to let us know what had happened and that yes she had an infection from tracheal spit. So they have added a 3rd antibiotic, will surge ahead with plan for F/U head ultrasound this am to see how much fluid is retaining in those ventricles then consult with both surgeons to schedule the two necessary procedures: Reservoir placement & PDA closure. They need to be done, we feel, on order to give her a good chance at survival. But the infection must be well treated before a decision is made.
The question remains: are we prolonging what some may think is inevitable?
Is it Heavenly Father's will to bring her home now? How can we know?
In the meantime we will continue to follow the Lord's commandment as given to Joshua & pray for Bella & treat her aggressively because we desire for her to remain with us for a long long time, even eternity(which we know will happen as we are assured of this as we continue to follow the Lord's commandments).
